This custom magnetic latch will keep the door shut and allow you to open it easily by just pulling on the door.
The magnetic latches included look like and replace the black rubber bumpers on the glove box housing that have a torx screw in the middle.

Easy install and effective
It comes with 2 magnet sets. I installed one first and have found the glove box rattles a bit more than I'd like. I will be doing the second side soon. Also very easy to install

Glove Box Repair Kit
Much easier than replacing tghe broken glove box back to factory. 3 notes: "sharp" screw into door needs a starter hole. I over tightened screws into dash, broke the thick washers. Kit was replaced free of charge! Once installed, magnet sometimes stays with door instead of staying in dash. A bit of epoxy should fix that.

The magnets are delicate and break easily but the company was fantastic and sent out new ones immediately with extremely fast shipping can not say thank you enough. I hope the magnets last if they were not so delicate I would give 5 stars company was exceptional though. Thank you

Glove box door replacement kit to close.
Excellent for compromise on closing door until door replacement. Actually this price sure is a realistic price $$ . Compared with the hundreds of $$ for a replacement door no matter if it’s a salvage or dealership!! The only reason the score is 4 instead of 5 is the included magnets cracked on one side when tightened. No problem or panicked attack. Went to trustworthy ACE hardware & got a magnet set. Complimentary with the intended set!

Glove box repair latch kit for VW Golf
Delivery and service was excellent, fast delivery and very quick, no charge, replacement for damaged part. It works pretty well, though occasionally the center magnet comes off with the glove box door and won't close until I reset it. Not a big problem, much cheaper and way easier than replacing the entire glove box door. Now my glove box stays closed, even on the bumpy dirt roads that I live on. Only needed one of the set of 2 to hold it closed. Overall very reasonable and effective product.
