Great idea and execution, works like a charm
If your glove box is broken just buy this kit it works. It took me maybe 5 minutes to install and that was with my two year old son trying to help. The magnets are strong for those wondering. This kit simply just works.
I am so sick of little things breaking on my daughter's VW bug. This ingenious little kit fixed the open glove box in about 10 minutes. I did add a little glue to the back of the magnet. I think the magnet only works in one direction, so figure out which direction it needs to go before you glue anything. I also added a little glue to one of the top screw holes (where the torx came out) because the new screw was not getting a good purchase. Great kit that I have already recommended to others!
Great product, works as advertised and much easier and cheaper than replacing glove box!
This was easy (I was able to do this myself) to install and it works perfectly!
Held the door closed by installing only one side.
Awesome product worked so great and very easy to install took only minutes and works great!
This latch kit is a simple but effective way to deal with a broken latch on the Beetle glove box. The only disassembly consists of removing 2 screws with bumpers. Holds the door incredibly well. Recommend putting dab of adhesive on back of magnets to keep from extracting when opening.
Pretty slick idea and great value. I did need to put a drop of glue on the magnets so they always stay in the depression on the dash side of the latch.
