Please watch this video before trying to use the tool.

The tool MUST be plugged into the laptop before you open the program

2004-2006 ECU Tuning Instructions

Please connect the OBD dongle to the OBD port under your steering wheel
Start the byteshooter program and ensure that you have a green circle in the top right corner of the software
Make sure both switches on the box are turned to the right side
Choose VW under Make
Choose Golf 5 under Model
Choose 1.9 TDI PD under engine
Now there are several ECU options, please try to "Read" one, if that option does not work please choose the next option below it.
