Start by replacing the restrictive factory DPF filter and exhaust with this mandrel bent downpipe and allowing the exhaust to flow freely!
This downpipe is built to last with 409 grade stainless steel and a high quality flex pipe, it will also retain the 02 sensors and EGT sensors as the proper bungs have been provided.

-Our cats are made specifically to our specs by Catco in the USA. The same lifetime can be expected as from the OE cat, assuming the vehicle is in proper running condition. 'Plugging' should not be an issue, assuming there are no engine issues.

Down pipe working flawlessly, turbo sound is nice but not intrusive at all. Paired with the jr stage 2.8 tune my car feels amazing.
Best of the best perfect fitment
Got the cat upgrade and love it. Sound is awesome and smell is more than acceptable. No issues installing. Took about 15 minutes, once the DPF was gone.
Excellent quality downpipe. Bolted right up and fit the factory exhaust perfectly - o2 & EGT sensor threaded right in as they should. Gives you a nice turbo whistle and growl through the factory mufflers. Highly recommended!
Great piece, high quality and easily installed. Everything lined up and it's a stout piece. Only thing I would change is the 2 bolt flange, hole diameter for the attachment bolts. They lined up, where functional but a little over sized for the oem bolt size.
Moderately difficult to remove DPF. Straight forward install. SCR catalyst has an odd shape oval so removal requires a muffler shop to fabricate pipes from delete pipe back. Can hear turbo whistle standing at the rear of the car but not inside. Slight diesel odor when pulling into or out of a garage or other closed structure. A high flow diesel cat cuts odor down. Not loud inside car whatsoever. Nice modification if you want to run your BMW diesel a 100k miles without all the added emission costs. i
