A car with a turbocharged engine (turbine or compressor) can be strengthened with an electronic modification of the software in the ECU by about 20-30%. Our tuning modification changes includes: the boost target levels and limiters, the pressure characteristics of the turbine,the ignition angle, the injection time and angle, lambda map calibration, speed limit governor removed and more.
Each modification is analyzed and prepared individually for a particular car. Before the modification begins, we perform basic diagnostic in order to examine and assess the technical condition of the engine and components.
Most of the F series ECU’s can be unlocked for OBD programming. After unlock the ECU can be flashed without removing it from the car each time. Programming is only possible in our location. The option is free of charge with our F series tuning software.

I have been running this tune since May, and wanted to get some time in before writing a review. While the 328d is not slow in stock form compared to other vehicles that achieve similar fuel mileage, its performance was merely “adequate” for my preferences and what I was used to from previous vehicles. The stage 3 tune made a huge difference in performance taking the car from adequate to fun especially in sports mode. The torque pull coming out of corners at such low rpms with little throttle pressure is comparable to some V8 sports cars I have driven. While it still has a hint of turbo lag, it has been reduced dramatically from stock. Don’t get me wrong you aren’t going to run down Mustang GT’s or Camaro SS’s because you are still lacking a lot of hp (especially at top end when the turbo loses its breath), but the tune definitely made the car more fun to drive in normal rpms and everyday driving. I did not gain as much mpg as I thought I would compared to other diesel trucks I have deleted, but I did gain some according to my fuel mileage recording in my aCar app. The hard part is driving right with all this new found power that makes you want to do torque pulls around every corner or up every incline. I had some hiccups during installation, but Larry at AAR and Jarek at JR helped me through them. I had a CEL for an O2 sensor after install and it ended up being the O2 sensor from the stock downpipe. It must have gotten damaged with I was taking it off. You won’t have the same issue if you are not deleting anything. All in all, I would definitely purchase again and recommend it anyone who is looking for a more fun car to drive.
